Thailand’s refining and petrochemical industries face significant challenges when inspecting fired heaters and pipelines. Harsh operating conditions, limited accessibility, aging and complex infrastructure, tight bends, varying diameters, and restricted access points make traditional MFL technology insufficient for effective inspection.
When inspecting fired heaters, they are especially prone to heavy scaling and corrosion, requiring frequent and difficult maintenance in confined, high-risk environments. Creating a need for advanced decoking technologies to enable accurate tube inspection. Pipelines also face significant challenges, that consist of exposure to corrosive chemicals, pressure fluctuations, and environmental stress, all of which accelerate degradation. Inspection becomes even more difficult in areas with limited access, such as unpiggable or buried lines.

If these challenges are not addressed, they can lead to increased operational risks, higher maintenance costs, and costly disruptions to plant operations.
