Quest Integrity Group, a Team
Industrial Services company, is a global leader in the development and delivery
of asset integrity and reliability management services and solutions. Its
solutions consist of technology-enabled advanced inspection and engineering
assessment services and products that help companies in the pipeline industry
increase profitability, reduce operational and safety risks, and improve
operational planning.
Quest Integrity’s ultrasonic inline
inspection tool, InVista™, is a lightweight smart pig providing 100%
overlapping coverage of geometry and metal loss features in a single pass, as
well as detecting wall loss and corrosion in unpiggable or difficult-to-inspect
offshore pipelines. The pipeline geometry inspection data captured by the
InVista tool is exceptionally powerful when combined with the company’s
LifeQuest™ Pipeline fitness-for-service assessment capabilities, providing an
integrated solution set for the pipeline industry.
2016 has been a busy year for Quest
Integrity. Numerous large-scale offshore inspections were successfully executed
in the United States, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and the United Kingdom. One
notable project in the coming year is a deepwater pipeline inspection for a
United States-based pipeline operator. The project involves an offshore
inspection of a 4” line located in the Gulf of Mexico. The project will take
full advantage of Quest Integrity’s ultrasonic inline inspection tool
capabilities. Due to the inherent challenges of this specific inspection, Quest
Integrity’s pipeline integrity management service provides the most effective
inspection, assessment and project management solution. Significant challenges are posed in ultra
deepwater inspections, and include high pressures (7000fsw and pressures beyond
3000psi), wall thickness beyond MFL capability, tool bi-directionality
requirements, prohibitive pipeline configurations, and the need to successfully
inspect the line in a single pass.

Quest Integrity’s custom ultrasonic in-line inspection
technology is a unique lightweight, self-contained and bi-directional tool that
provides absolute coverage of geometry and metal loss features.
Offshore Industry
2017 Prediction
The real challenges for the oil and gas community lie in the
reduction of capital spending from operators. One of the most significant obstacles
the industry will face is how to operate in this new ultra cost-conscious
environment. While this will prove quite challenging, Quest Integrity is
founded upon the principals of improving operational planning, increasing
profitability, and reducing operational and safety risks. We look to the future
as an opportunity to continue to work closely with offshore pipeline operators.
