Mr. Altenberg is Chairman of Quest Integrity. He specializes in managing rapid growth companies, with 30 years of progressive leadership experience in technology, manufacturing and sales-intensive environments. Throughout his career, Mr. Altenberg has successfully utilized entrepreneurial instinct and market discipline, and cultivated management teams to deliver sustainable value to customers and shareholders. He has served as the President and/or CEO of over 15 companies in a highly diverse group of industries including: energy services, petrochemical and chemical processing, plastics processing, construction products, machining services, automotive manufacturing, software, and management consulting. His experience includes business start-ups as well as mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Altenberg is best known for his technology-driven approach to redefining strategies, business models and markets.
Mr. Ott is President and Chief Executive Officer of Quest Integrity. He has been involved with high-growth, industrial technology companies for the past 20 years as an investor, director, advisor and financier. His industry focus has included energy, automotive performance, software, process controls and NDT/E instrumentation. As a general partner at Gryphon Investors, he was responsible for managing the group's middle market-focused technology investment interests. Mr. Ott previously managed the west coast private equity effort and technology investments as a general partner at Deutsche Bank Capital Partners and prior to that, led the global convertible and equity-linked capital markets effort for Bankers Trust. He began his career as an engineer in the Operations Analysis group at Rockwell International's North American Aircraft. Mr. Ott holds a B.S. in Engineering and Operations Research from Southern Methodist University and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Mr. Papenfuss is Executive Vice President, Inspection at Quest Integrity. He has over 25 years of experience in the oilfield and pipeline service sectors, spanning all facets of operations and sales management. His experience includes global direction of products and services sales to pipeline operators and engineering contractors. Mr. Papenfuss also has extensive background in in-line inspection technology, covering both magnetic flux leakage and ultrasonic methods for National Oilwell Varco, Tuboscope and NDT Systems and Services. He has led business development teams and has built and developed technology sales teams both domestically and internationally, which lends to his thorough knowledge of global natural gas and pipeline markets. Mr. Papenfuss extensively participates in inspection-related pipeline professional associations such as API, NACE, SGA, APIA and PPSA. Mr. Papenfuss joined Quest Integrity in 2006 to lead the pipeline inspection and assessment effort, including commercial development of InVista™ ultrasonic pipeline inspection technology with a focus on traditionally difficult or unpiggable pipelines.
Dr. Saunders-Tack is Vice President, Engineering Assessment for Quest Integrity. His background is in materials and corrosion engineering in the oil and gas industry. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in metallurgy and materials, and a Ph.D. in fracture mechanics from the University of Birmingham in the UK. Dr. Saunders-Tack spent his early career with a power, oil and gas integrity management consultancy in the UK before joining MPT Solutions in New Zealand. He relocated to Singapore to expand the business to Southeast Asia. Dr. Saunders-Tack then joined Royal Dutch Shell’s Materials, Corrosion and Inspection team in Amsterdam, where he contributed to their worldwide asset integrity management initiatives for upstream and downstream facilities. He moved with Shell Global Solutions to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he became East Regional Manager for Mechanical, Materials and Integrity for the Project and Engineering Services division before joining Quest Integrity in 2010.
Mr. Rowe is Vice President of Product Development for Quest Integrity. He brings 20 years of software and information systems development experience to the company and has extensive experience as a versatile application architect, software developer and program manager for a wide variety of technical engineering and business applications. At Quest Integrity, Mr. Rowe has led teams of talented engineers and software developers in rapid development of several industry leading technical software applications. He has served as General Manager of the software group, overseeing sales, product marketing and development of commercial software products, including Signal™ Fitness-For-Service. Mr. Rowe led development of LifeQuest™ Pipeline—an industry recognized pipeline analysis and assessment software. Prior to joining Quest Integrity, he was Director of Services for Ensim Corporation, EMEA where he oversaw customer deployments and solution design of the Ensim's enterprise platform for major service providers. Mr. Rowe holds a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, with a major in Geology from Carleton College.
Mr. De Lorenzo is Vice President, NDT Tool Development for Quest Integrity. In the early '90s, he began his career working for a private firm specializing in developing custom instrumentation, primarily for the U.S. government’s military branches. He engineered custom measurement technologies to inspect M1 Tank Barrels, rifled tubing and ocean waves using laser profilometry combined with standing wave and environmental instrumentation. He continued with project management and lead engineering efforts to produce exclusive image and laser systems to track the movements of infantry, laser and motion control systems to inspect NASA rocket fuel cells, NRL rocket nuzzles and nuclear tubing. As an early member of Quest Integrity, he led the continued development and manufacturing of our laser measurement technology (LOTIS®), and UT based Furnace Tube Inspection System (FTIS™). He went on to develop the original reformer tube crawler system (MANTIS™), a hi-definition laser profilometery system (LOTIS-600), and the entire suite of InVista™ unpiggable pipeline inspection tools. Mr. De Lorenzo continues to manage the overall development, manufacturing and maintenance of Quest Integrity's prestigious NDT Tool Development Group.
